University of Illinois at Chicago Phenotype Numbers Report
In Drosophila, the grape eye color is produced by an autosomal gene (Grape, G), which is dominant to the wild-type red eye color. Another sex-linked recessive gene (white, w) produces the white eye color. The effect of the Grape gene is epistatic to all other eye colors. In a cross between a pure breeding Grape female to a pure breeding white male (all other genes are homozygous wild type).
