RCNJ Environmental Sociology Computer Discussion
1)Select an object in your life. It could be your computer, phone, t-shirt, videogame system, or even your meal. Odds are you have no idea of the history of the product and all the people and places that you are connected to through this product. The connections between you, society, and the environment are invisible. Your task is to make visible these strings by figuring out where these products come from, by whom they are produced, and the conditions under which they were produced.
- Compose your writing in Microsoft Word or some other word processing program so that you can upload the document to Turnitin.
- Your write-up should be two full pages in length, double-spaced, 12-point font, Times New Roman or Calibri. Please do not put spaces between paragraphs. Your name and course information do not count toward the minimum length.
- I will often pose some questions for you to think about as you analyze. You don’t have to respond to all of them and they are usually not in any particular order. They are just my way of getting the ball rolling. If you come up with a more interesting angle for analysis, please feel free to explore that.
- All written assignments should specifically refer to assigned readings. Other materials may be incorporated and must be cited.Weekly Class ScheduleNOTE: MONDAY, November 15th; last day to withdraw from courses with “W” grade.NOTE: Assignments are listed on the day that they are DUE.WEDNESDAY 9/1
