WRHC Information Security Discussion
Whether you work in an information security position or not, it’s essential to keep up with current security issues. For example, if you use a Motorola G8 phone, staying aware of any security problems related to that phone is probably not a bad idea. The same is true for the hardware and software that you use. Awareness of the problem is the first step in the solution. As a security professional, I would suggest developing a list of sites, blogs, podcasts, etc., that keep you up on current security events.
Assignment: For this discussion post, I’d like you to use your favorite Internet search engine and find a current (within six months of today) article concerning an information security topic.
Make a post that contains the link to the article, and then give a high-level summary in your own words. I’ve put a sample post in as the first discussion thread to provide you with an example of the format that I would like. (See the assignment link on the Week #5 content page for my suggested format.)
