This will consist of a typewritten double-spaced paper of 3-5 pages.

Choose to do a report on something in which you are interested. You can do any of the following options or come up with your own project. You must have my approval before working on your own project. Read the instructions carefully to make sure you are following them.

1. Write a review of a book that deals with U.S. politics and/or social issues that you have not read. The book should be briefly summarized. Evaluate the author’s main points. The focus of your papershould be on describing and making clear what the author is expressing about our society or political system? Is the author convincing? Explain. Do you agree with the author? Why/why not? If you have a particular interest, I may be able to suggest a book.

Note: You are expected to read the entire book. Acknowledge any utilization of the content of an introduction. I prefer that you not use book reviews. If you do, you must cite them.

Obtain my approval for the book you want to review unless it is on the following list.
