The Task

You and your group will research an advanced telecommunications and network security topic. For this paper, you can pick your own research topic as long as it relates to the objectives of this course. When you decide your topic, you need to obtain my approval.

Your task is to write a report summarizing your research (about 6-10 pages). The writing should be original. Before you begin writing your report, you need to read as many references related to the subject as you can. Basically, you would feel a bit insecure writing about a topic until you have digested and completely understood several references.

You will have a table of contents for the paper with sections as shown in the suggestions below::

• Abstract section summarizing your research
• Introduction section: this section provides an overview or background of the topic and its purpose, including
  • Define the subject area, and why is this subject important?
• Body of work sections:
  • What are the key issues (pros/cons, if appropriate)?
  • Identify benefits, obstacles, innovations as appropriate
  • Methodology: key ideas, summaries, measures, analytical discussions, etc.
• Conclusion section: analyze and summarize your findings, state your opinions, conclusions, recommendations. It is common for such a paper to suggest new ideas, critique some of the existing ideas, and propose some new directions.
• References section: Sources and references need to be cited properly using APA format. Around 10 or more references are appropriate, some of which must be scholarly peer- reviewed articles

Presentation:

Team presentations begin at 9:00 am on Sunday of your residency session. You need to prepare PowerPoint slides for about 15 minutes presentation time per team

Grading:

Groups will be graded primarily on their clarity and the extent to which they bring out the critical issues related to the topic. Content, clarity, depth, and paper format will be considered.

Notes IMPORTANT:

Citations must be real. Not merely mention the citations for their purpose. Professor will actually check the citations. Work in the paper must actually reflect the one in the citations. You can choose your own topic, which is emerging. Please let us know the topic as soon as you decide. We have to inform professor. Due by 5.00 PM EST. Citations must be no older than 7 years.

introduction (10 points)The introduction should be a paragraph that contains the goals of the lab and an overview of what the reader can expect to find within the report. State the objective of the lab exercise. Though this is provided in the lab documents, the purpose should be restated in your own words.  Provide a brief overview or “roadmap” of the report contents.

Results (30 points)This is the only section in which results should be introduced, present your final results from the analysis(tables). Start this section with a brief description of what your data shows. Give your reader a context in which to view the data. Present only your information (raw data, tables from excel sheet, graphs…etc.)

Discussion (40 points)You should explain your results and their ramifications by answering the questions provided in the procedures (usually it is 3 to 5 questions). You can include details of the principles, relationships, generalizations, and consequences of your experiment. You must demonstrate that you understand your investigation and corresponding results. Be sure to relate your interpretation and discussion back to your objectives. Do your data answer your original question? You should also include a discussion of possible errors and exceptions. If relevant or available, discuss how your results compare pertinent standards.

Conclusion (5 points)Summarize the major points of your memo. A good conclusion is usually quite short. A few sentences should be sufficient. Restate your numerical results, but do not editorialize about your results.

Hi, I am taking a course that explains to us about our capstone project for graduating. I have decided to pick “EcoCar” capstone project. I have tried to attach a video about ecocar capstone but the file is too big.

The goal of this report is to focus specifically on one of the capstone options. It should address the following points:

1. Selection of Capstone Theme
   Which one of the capstone themes are you planning on pursuing (i.e., Gerontech, Ecocar, URC, research-option, student-proposed project)?
   Provide some background about the theme (e.g., a written summary of the lecture devoted to this theme or what you have been able to find out about it).
   Why did you pick this theme (what about it appeals to you)?
2. Specific Project or Subteam
   Within the context of the theme, which specific project do you plan on pursuing or which subteam will you be on?

A few details and comments:

• The length of the report should be 1200 to 2800 words.
• While your report should address all the questions above that apply, you don’t have to write out the questions themselves. In some cases, the question will not apply to your project, but when that is the case you should state why.
• The report is not a commitment. You will be free to change your topic, team, subteam, etc. up until the start of CSEE 480. The goal of the exercise is to make you think about what a project would be like with you working on it.
• You should include a few references that are related to your project. Cite them using the IEEE format (similar to the library project).
• You are encouraged to include figures and diagrams, too.

You are required to write an 10 page technical paper on a technical topic of your choosing. Your final draft is due at the end of Week 8. Be sure your paper meets the following requirements:

Include in the final paper: A description of the scope and principal features of writing a technical paper, cite core theories and practices, and offer a similar explication (explanation) of a related field such as business field that would benefit from technical writing.

Overview: Uncovering organizational inefficiencies is the first step to optimizing performance. In order to determine what inefficiencies exist, you need to perform a data analysis. A good place to start is with sales. You have to know what data to analyze as well as how to use specific tools for data analysis. Using the IF function, pivot tables, pie charts, bar charts, and histograms can help you isolate and organize specific data in a way that makes it easier to read. Studying measures of central tendency can also help reveal important information. After you discover where inefficiencies in sales exist, you need to be able to articulate the impact this has on the organization.

Prompt: For this assignment, you will use the Vinho Winery Case Study and other course resources to review raw data sets that summarize the production, sales, and distribution of wine. You will need to analyze the various types of wine and different distribution centers to determine their financial impacts on the organization’s total revenue. All of your analyses need to be submitted in an annotated Excel file, and each analysis needs to include a rationale.

Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:

1. Using a pivot table, determine the percentage of wine varieties sold from each distribution center. Illustrate your results in the form of a pie chart. Hint: Create a pivot table using the data spreadsheet as its basis.
2. Generate a labeled bar chart that illustrates the sum of wine varieties sold to each distribution center.
3. Using a pivot table, calculate the total amount of revenue generated for each distribution center. Illustrate your results on a bar chart. Hints: Productioncost data is provided in the Costs and Distances tab. Make sure you don’t mix your units of measurement (i.e., pallets, cases, or bottles).

5. Analyze the frequency of shipment by size using a histogram. Use the following bin sizes (number of pallets): 72, 48, 24, 18, 12, 6, 3, 1.
6. Create a shipment histogram to show the distribution of shipments for Portland and Riverside. Use the same bin sizes as you did in Part E. Hint: Use thealphabetical sort for the destination column, and select Data Analysis to plot the frequency of pallet shipments using the bin sizes listed for the twodestinations separately.
7. Provide a summary statement that describes the inefficiencies in the organizational sales analysis. In your response, explain why this information isimportant for influencing management decisions.
