We finally made it!  Now it is time to share with the class what you have found about your particular topic.  You’ve worked too hard on this project to only share its completion with your instructor — sharing with our whole class is a positive and empowering way to end the class.  

Take your Week 7 Final Portfolio Assignment and digest it in a presentation format.  Create a narrated multimedia presentation using either Power Point, Screencast-o-matic, or Prezi.  Remember, narration with audio (not just ppt notes) is necessary.  In essence, your presentations should “play” for us.  The presentation should be no more than 5-10 minutes (about 8-10 slides).  Be sure to provide some background on the topic, discuss your variables, provide figures (tables/charts – frequencies/graphs, crosstabs, tests of significance and measures of association), and conclude by highlighting how your research fits into the existing body of literature on this topic.

Economic  behavior is more complex than assumed by conventional economic theory.  Political economy explains the functioning of government. Behavioral  economics ties psychology into human behavior.

Economists assume that individuals make rational decisions. However real people are more complex.

Based on what you have learned in your assigned reading, answer the following questions in your initial post:

• What are the human behaviors economists should observe when creating  economic models? Example: people tend to find solutions that are good  enough, but not the best solutions.

Your game company recently released a new game. You want to find out more about those playing the game. You are interested in information about how much and why they play as well as in knowing more about their general demographics like gender, age, income, etc. Design a survey process that would allow you to find out this information.

For the survey sample, you should include what the population is, the sampling method used, and how many will be surveyed. Discussion should include whether or not your sampling method may be biased and how you determined an appropriate number to survey.

For the survey itself, list the questions you will ask and identify whether each is continuous, discrete, nominal, or ordinal. For all quantitative values, explain what distribution you expect them to have and why.

Discharge Plan

For the discharge plan, you will create a fictitious patient with your chosen chronic illness and use this Discharge Plan document to create a discharge plan for that patient. You are to complete all sections of the discharge plan: assessment, diagnosis/plan, education needs, financial worksheet, and the reflection and conclusion. You need to be as detailed as possible in filling out all the boxes. The reflection and conclusion section allows you to summarize the patient’s plan of care based on all proceeding information and to make recommendations for the plan of care for the patient. Reflect on what you learned in this activity. What do you think about using this discharge plan, did it help you to consider areas you might not have previously included in a discharge plan?
