For this assignment you will identify and explain the concepts of self-awareness, self-esteem and perception in order to gain a better understanding of each as well as increase your perceptual accuracy.

Objective:

• Define self-concept, self-awareness and self-esteem, how they are related, and explain the ways in which self-awareness and self-esteem may be increased.
• Define perception and its stages, and explain how to increase perceptual accuracy. 

Instructions:

For this assignment, imagine that you have been tasked with creating a proposal for the new CEO of your organization. You have been asked to create a proposal that establishes an ethics program, as well as develop a training plan, and develop a plan to conduct compliance auditing. Your proposal must include the following:

• Describe an emerging global risk that is either economic, environmental, geopolitical, societal, or technological.
• Identify all countries that might be associated with the risk.
• Describe the effects of the risk on each country.
• Evaluate the role of ethical decision-making in business organizations as the role pertains to your global risk.
• Analyze the impact of business ethics on stakeholder relationships.
• Analyze why it is necessary to create an ethics program, conduct training, and engage in compliance auditing.
• Design a training plan for ethical considerations and social responsibility as it relates to the key risk area and the countries you have selected. The training plan must include the following:

It is important to consider the different types of persuasion outcomes when marketing a new product. Imagine you are a marketer in charge of designing an advertising campaign for one of the following products: a new car, a new potato chip flavor, or a new pair of shoes. Write a 600 to 750 word paper that briefly describes the advertising campaign that you would create for the product you selected. You may use first person pronouns in this paper to explain the personal choices you would make for developing all aspects of the campaign, including the message of your campaign and the medium you will use to promote that message. In your paper, identify appropriate affective, behavioral, and cognitive outcomes and explain how your campaign could be designed to target each measurable outcome.

In his writings entitled, Poetics, (the 1st work of literary criticism ever!) Aristotle says that tragedy (an imitation of actions of life) must elicit feelings of pity and fear, which would result in a catharsis (purging of the emotions of pity and fear).

(Remember that his actions/behaviors must be probable or “plausible”/possible in real life.)

Note: According to Aristotle tragedy also rids or purges ourselves of repressed emotions that we might otherwise experience in real life (through our unconscious). This is a psychological concept called catharsis.
