A1. Individual Report on AR / VR Technologies

VR and AR are state of the art technologies characterized as futuristic, expensive, and with a distance from the actual and practical business needs and applications. The Covid-19 pandemic outbreak transformed the business perspective on both VR and AR as they are now seen as more effective, safe, sustainable and economic ways to deliver services without the need of traveling, physical presence, and contact.
In a 1.200 well-referenced report providing the following.
- Write a literature review on the modern/current trends in VR/AR.
- Identify growing markets in various sectors and countries (Justify your answers).
- Present at least three cases of AR/VR applications that could be developed.
For each application case briefly explain :
3.1. Why the application is needed,
3.2. How the technology will be used and what are the benefits
3.3. Who could be the potential customer (organization/country).
Justify your answers in 3.1-3.3
NOTE: Further instructions on the formatting of the report will be provided in class. DO NOT MISS THE LECTURES and the WORKSHOPS. Document/slide aesthetics impact the grade by 20%.
Formatting instructions in brief:
Cover page with the school logo, the student name, and ID. Table of contents. The report sections must be based on the assignment categories/questions. Add conclusions and references (intext and in the reference list). The report must be supported have figures and tables. Proper formatting (page numbers, sections numbers, figure and table captions, and in-text citation, etc).
