CC Anthropology Evolution of Human Lineage Essay
We have spent much of the first half of this course discussing the evolution of the human lineage. Write a four to five page essay (double spaced, 1-inch margins) that describes the major hallmarks in hominid evolution (similar to what we have covered in lectures). Please provide a simplified evolutionary lineage of five hominids (including Anatomically Modern Humans) as discussed in class. For each hominid or hominid group, provide an archaeological site where their remains have been found and name their associated tool technologies. And, provide several characteristics that make these hominids or hominid groups distinctive. I suggest you start with an introductory paragraph and have each new hominid group (following our simplified evolutionary lineage from class) constitute a new paragraph. Then, end with a concluding paragraph.
