Harvard University LGBTQ Psychological Question
I’m working on a psychology writing question and need an explanation to help me study.
Explore the various LGBTQ resources listed below. Look for additional readings and resources, and build a useful listing of materials and at least 5 resources that you could use when working with a young adult or adolescent who is lesbian, gay, bisexual or questioning. Add a specific section of resources for a young person who is transgender. Add a brief description of each resource so that you can remember what the listing provides.
The resources should include information and support that you (the therapist), the client and/or their family or significant others can use. They can include some of the resources listed below, but include additional ones that you think are useful. In addition, please answer the following:
- What else would you like to see as an LGBTQ resource for you or your clients that you looked for but could not find?
- What do you think are the 3 most important things to be mindful of when working with LGBTQ clients and/or their families?
- What do you anticipate could be the biggest challenge for you when working with LGBTQ clients and/or their families?
- What do you plan to do about meeting this challenge?
