During the first week in lecture, we will touch on the topic of an “Ecological Footprint”. In an effort to better wrap our minds around this idea, we will use this topic as an opportunity to start our first discussion board. In order to earn the full 10 points for this discussion board you will need to do the following:

2. Answer the short series of questions to generate a “Number of Planets” Score.
3. Click the “see details” link to see a breakdown of your footprint.
4. Click the “explore solutions” link to see a set of recommendations for reducing your footprint.

Once you have explored these pages compose a response that addresses the following questions:

1. How many planets would we need to support your lifestyle for everyone?
2. What was your largest consumption category?
3. What was the largest contributor to your footprint? (grazing land, carbon footprint?)
4. What was your “Earth Overshoot” date?
5. Did these results surprise you? Why?
6. From the “Solutions” page, describe 3 things you could (and would) do to help reduce your footprint.
