Immigration dominates the headlines. We are a nation of immigrants. Recently, immigrants have appeared at the border seeking asylum. Many, as well as their children, have been separated and incarcerated. Can, or will our law makers do anything? Can we as citizens make a difference? What will be the longterm effects on the children?
Essay Guidelines
- Essay must be submitted in MLA Format & Style
- Essay must include a minimum of two citations from the articles in this unit
- Essay must be 3 1/2 to 5 pages in length
- Essay must include a Work Cited page
The articles we have used in this unit are all from the textbook “Rereading America” and they are “What We Really Miss About the 1950’s” “The Color of Family Ties” “The Crossing” By Ruben Martinez, “How Immigrants Become “Other” By Marcelo M.
