Getting Started
Red flags point to a larger problem, and they can assist us in investigating and hopefully identifying the problem. Recognizing potential red flags and knowing the indicators of human trafficking to look for is a key step in identifying victims (Polaris, 2018). When we review red flags and evaluate a situation, we must remember that there is no “exhaustive list” of red flags and everyone’s situation is different.
Upon successful completion of this discussion, you will be able to:
- Identify red flags for human trafficking
